A hand forged and punched steel sign hanger and a hand carved split cedar sign turn a garden sculpture into a custom sign post.
This sign bracket is part of a collaborative work with a local Vancouver Island Artist. The client wanted to add some character and distinction to the garden, as well as enable visitors to locate the house number easily. This spectacular hand carved cedar garden sculpture was just the ticket, and Crossed Heart Forge was commissioned to create the sign and hanging bracket to compliment it.
The bracket and hooks are hand forged and painted steel, and the sign is charred split cedar that has been hand carved with a saya-nomi to leave the numbers raised and darkened.
