Description

A sculptural form for study and enjoyment, this piece would function as an art object, paperweight, and conversation piece. A serious letter opener forged from a salvaged iron bolt from the sea. Not high carbon steel, it will not take or hold a particularly fine edge and is designed to be enjoyed as is, straight out of the forge. Accented by hammer textured handle and hand riveted copper pins in the pommel.

A lower carbon blade, this knife will not hold a true edge but has been given a hand filed letter opening edge. The blade is 5″ long and the overall length is about 9″.
