Bike to Work Wrap Up

This Sunday (June 3) we will be set up at Morningstar Farm for the Bike To Work Week Community Ride wrap up event.

Island Blacksmith: Hand forged knives and handmade metal buttons.

When we heard there was going to be a party at Morningstar Farm this Sunday, we immediately invited ourselves. Fortunately the hosts are as kind as they are popular, and they agreed to let us in the back door. We will be doing an outdoor blade and utensil forging and, of course, button making demo in the afternoon.

The event will the the Bike to Work Week (May 28 – June 3) 2012 wrap up following the Community Ride to Little Qualicum Cheeseworks and will include music from the Little Qualicum Jazz Birds, food from La Boulange, and lots more excitement!

Morningstar Farm is a working dairy, and is home to a cheeseworks, winery, and the Farmgate store. It is located on Lowry’s Road just off Church Road in Parksville.

Sunday we will be set up near the horses with a live blacksmithing demo from 1:00pm to about 4:00pm. Come and check out our handmade reclaimed softwood charcoal and say hello. Thank you to Adrienne for getting us on the guest list for the party.
